The torched ground floor of the house in Bangi Lama

A 10 year old girl died while her mother is in critical condition in hospital when a 60-year old Grand Mother poured petrol and torched the family while they were sleeping on Saturday. The victim’s sister also suffered severe burns.

In a well planned attempt to kill the whole family, the grand mother also chained the grill door lock to prevent the family from escaping. The case as been classified by the police as a murder attempt.

The incident occurred around 2am when the family of 4 was sleeping at the ground floor of a two-storey terrace house in Taman Permai in Bangi Lama, Selangor, Malaysia. The suspect at first switched off the house mains switch and poured petrol on the floor.
The mains fuse was isolated (off) - to create "darkness"

When she was about to light the match, her son Muniandy Perumal suddenly woke up (must be due to the strong vapour smell of petrol) and tried to prevent her from doing so. In the struggle, the suspect still managed to light the match and started the fire which spread quickly on the wife and his two children.

Hatred & Violence

Now what is the big hatred for the Grandma to do such a violent thing to kill her own related family? What is the trigger for her to plan and execute this attempted murder?

There must have been a great deal of abuse on this grandma to so such an unthinkable thing. What is the lesson we can draw from such an incident? What is the feeling evoked in her own son after this tragedy?

Now what are the causes for the hatred in people to buildup? Your inhibited natural impulses motivating you to move in some ideal direction—to seek love or understanding so idealized in your mind that it seems impossible now to achieve. Then you are left with the impulse to strike out in hatred and violence.

But when you kill a man, you believe that you kill him forever?. The hunter is forced to emotionally identify with its prey. So to kill is to be killed. The balance of life sustains all.

There is never any justification for violence. There is no justification for hatred. There is no justification for murder. Those who indulge in violence for whatever reason are themselves changed, and the purity of their purpose adultered.

Hate creates destruction on earth and until the lessons are learned, destruction follows destruction. It is not that you must be taught not to destroy, for destruction does not actually exist. It is that you must be trained to create responsibly.

The weapons of destruction are the obvious things that you see. The counterparts are not so evident, and yet it is the counterparts that are important; the self-discipline learned, the control, the compassion that is finally aroused, and that final and last lesson - the positive desire for creativity and love over destruction.
