A parked lorry on an Emergency Lane even with lights on can be deceiving to any driver who is not alert or sleepy after a long journey. From afar the stationary lorry could “appeared” to be moving and by ‘instinct driving’ one would tend to follow another vehicle and the consequence can be disastrous.

This is what happened when lorry trailer driver Hussein Darus 34 from Muar, died when his trailer lorry rammed into a stationery lorry laden with canned food at 231.9 km in NS in the North South Expressway on Saturday 22^nd July 2006 at 7.10 am near the Pedas Linggi Toll Plaza.

Negeri Sembilan Public Order Chief said Rembau Fire and Rescue department personnel took an hour to extricate the body from the wreckage.
