MORE Pics – FIERY End of PROTON WIRA Car Rammed by HIGH SPEED LORRY at 300.6 Km N-S Expressway; 1 Burned Alive, 2 Seriously Injured and 2 Escaped

One person was burned alive while two of his friends suffered serious injury when a lorry traveling at high speed rammed into the car they were traveling in and burst into flames at 300.6 Km of the N-S highway on Friday. Two others escaped unhurt with minor injuries.

The five were from Lukut, Port Dickson traveling to Kuala Lumpur when the accident occurred at about 1.30 pm on Friday. A lorry believed to be driven at high speed rammed into their vehicle and dragged it for several meters causing it to catch fire.

The lorry then veered out of control and hit the road divider and the driver quickly fled the scene. Four of the passengers managed to escape but one was left behind in the rear seat with the fire spreading fast.

As he was injured and could not get out he was burned alive. The charred remains were sent to Kajang hospital for the customary post-mortem.

The accident caused a 10 km congestion for Kuala Lumpur bound traffic and curious onlookers slowdown to have a closer view.

Marketing Manager Charged With Kidnapping Boy For RM1 Million Ransom; October 06, 2006 16:26 PM

PETALING JAYA, Oct 6 (Bernama) -- A tobacco firm marketing manager was charged in the Magistrate's Court here Friday with kidnapping a 14-year-old boy for a ransom of RM1 million.

Wong Shen Choong, 33, of Puchong, was charged with kidnapping Tan Sze Shaun at Jalan USJ 3, in the housing area of USJ 3, Subang Jaya, here, at about 1pm on Sept 23.

Wong, who was arrested on Sept 24, was charged under Section 3 of the Kidnapping Act 1961, which carries the death sentence or life imprisonment and whipping, upon conviction.

No plea was recorded.
Magistrate Maimoonah Aid fixed Oct 27 for mention to transfer the case to the Shah Alam High Court.
Deputy public prosecutor Alfred Egin appeared for the prosecution while Wong was represented by counsel Datuk K.Kumaraendran.
